This began as a drawing using a flashlight to generate concentric hyperbolas. This sketch was then painted with rubber cement. The resulting grid started to suggest shapes. The shapes are darker than this ghostly grid, and tend to be interrupted by each segment, suggesting some fracturing of the light.
